Posted on September 14th, 2010 by admin  |  No Comments »

Celebrities and their Chihuahuas has become a huge craze in recent years. It seems the popularity of these tiny dogs began with the Chihuahua that stared in the famous Taco Bell commercials. Then of course came Reese Witherspoon in the big screen movie Legally Blonde with her little pal Bruiser. At the top of the craze was non other than Paris Hilton when she appeared on the cover of Seventeen Magazine with her Chihuahua Tinkerbell.

However, these celebrities were not the first to love this amazingly loyal and easy to care for dog; Marilyn Monroe had one of her own that she called ChooChoo. Many stars now have there own Chihuahuas, and some have many more than just one. The daughter of Rod Stewart was seen playing on the beach in a blue bikini with her Chihuahuas, and Brian Littrell was photographed with his wife and two Chihuahuas. The much-loved judge on American Idol, Paula Abdul, has two Chihuahuas named Tumbellina and Tulip.

Wauconda, IL (PRWEB) – Getting the word out to the world has gotten easier since the advent of television, radio and the Internet. But today’s headlines don’t just appear by themselves. Professional journalists are being joined in their quest for the truth and entertainment by a slew of armature news hounds and video reporters.

The Video News Release is the video equivalent of the newspaper press release and just like a press release and VNR provides for distribution of the elements of the story; script, sound bites or video clips to the local or even National media outlets around the country or the world in some cases.

It works through the uploading of the video tape into a broadcast system that has predetermined satellite transponder signals transmitted at a scheduled time. These VNR pieces are captured by television stations searching for interesting and provocative items to help them fill time during their daily broadcast. The stations use the majority of these stories as part of their soft news segments.

According to Video News Release experts Satellite Communications System (www.satellite-commsys.com ), “There has been no better time than now to get involved in Video News Releases. From Television to Internet broadcasts, the VNR is invaluable to these news organizations that are screaming for content from on the spot Video journalist.”

Columbus Day Celebrations

A sailor on board the Pinta sighted land in the morning of 12th October 1492, and a new era of cultural exchange between America and Europe began.

Italian seaman Christopher Columbus was the first European to sail across the Atlantic Ocean and to successfully land on the American continent. He never accomplished his original goal: to find a new naval route to India. Instead, Christopher Columbus opened up exploration between Europe and America.

Columbus Day was celebrated for the first time in New York in 1792 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Columbus’ historic arrival.

In 1892, the president Benjamin Harrison declared Columbus Day a legal holiday, which still today in the United States is celebrated on the second Monday of October. Today, many large cities organize a parade, and most of all where there is a Little Italy section, celebrations abound.

Right now, in the United States people already started making preparations for Columbus Day, this year celebrated on Monday, October 13th. Once again, it will celebrate Italian pride. This year, at the 5th Avenue, Peter Pace, an Italian-American from Puglia (the heel of Italy’s boot) will lead New York parade.

Although, reports are showing very slow come back from big blows. Unemployment rise with the loss of approximately 18,000 jobs. Business confidence is still down, record low, as well as consumer confidence. Good news is unheard for except for the slight increase in risk appetite. If this risk appetite is not sustained, Australia may face the recession sooner than expected.

The Japanese Yen recently lost track of the movements of the over risky assets. It has shown no significant movement even though the price changes in over a week.
