The moment it came out that the Doctor thinks there could be another Time Lord and that he is out on a search mission, a feeling rose inside me, and then, gradually, subsided.

I started working on the possibility of me being the Time Lord. I began dissecting my yearning for it and asked myself, ‘what would I do to be known as the Time Lord once?’ I didn’t get the answer! But catching Doctor Who season 6 episode 4 may leave me with an answer, for the idea to see something transpire right in front of your eyes – something that you wanted to have yourself – is calming, if not encouraging.

And this was just a feeling, not an afterthought, the charm of Doctor Who that gives rise to such fascination.
