Posted on February 18th, 2011 by admin  |  No Comments »

Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers and David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox opened at online sportsbooks as the two leading MLB betting favorites to win in Monday Night’s 2010 Home Run Derby odds. Cabrera opened at 5-2 with Ortiz at 7-2. Corey Hart of the Milwaukee Brewers and Nick Swisher of the New York Yankees followed at 11-2 with Matt Holliday of St. Louis at 4-1, Toronto’s Vernon Wells at 15-2 and Arizona’s Chris Young and Florida’s Hanley Ramirez at 8-1 each. The 2010 Home Run Derby betting odds will take place from Angels Stadium on Monday at 8:00pm EST; home of Tuesday’s All Star Game and can be seen on ESPN.

Prince Fielder of the Milwaukee Brewers was last year’s winner in Home Run Derby odds and will be the only contestants in this year’s event that also was selected in 2009. The 2010 MLB betting home run leader at the All Star Break, Toronto’s Jose Bautista, will not participate. Cabrera is second in the majors with 22 home runs this year. He has hit at least 33 home runs in 5 out of his previous 6 seasons in the big leagues and will be a popular choice. Ortiz has 18 home runs for the Red Sox and has slipped in recent years as he has hit only 23 and 28 home runs in the past two seasons prior to this year.

The Augusta Masters: Perry Melts and Cabrera Putts his Way to the Jacket

After 41 years, Argentina has finally redeemed itself in golf. In 1968, the Argentine golfer Roberto De Vincenzo signed off a wrong score on his scorecard, missing an opportunity to enter the playoffs and win the green jacket, the traditional prize at the Masters. In 2009, another Argentine, Angel Cabrera, defeated Kenny Perry and Chad Campbell in a three-way, two-hole playoff, a last spectacle in the already-electric Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club.

Initially, the final players received little attention; the crowd focused on an epic playoff between Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, the number 1 and number 2 players in the world, respectively. It was their first game in 8 years. Amidst the frenzied cheers of the crowd, the two players moved up the leaderboard—Mickelson began hitting birdie after birdie, and Woods, after a shaky start, made eagle on the par-5 eighth. The crowd remained with the two even while the tournament’s final contenders played for the jacket. In the end, Woods finished with two bogeys and left at 8-under, some four strokes behind the three leaders – Cabrera, Perry, and Campbell. Mickelson finished at 9-under.

The Best Nightclub In King’s Cross – Sapphire Lounge – Review

Sapphire Nightclub has had more publicity than Paris Hilton’s dog, but for the most part, the news hasn’t been good… However as it turns out, you shouldn’t believe everything you read!

Since it opened in 2005, Sapphire has been in the papers and on TV and radio. From punch-up’s to shootings and drug busts, this joint hasn’t managed to keep out of the public eye. While some believe that any publicity is good publicity, I don’t. For me, I’ve never had the inclination to head to such a place. But when your editor asks you to review such an establishment, you do as you’re told.

And, so, there I was on a Tuesday night in a dress and heals. I’m sitting at Sapphire Lounge in Sydney’s Kings Cross. The place has a black and blue scheme. Soft blue lighting and blue curtains contrast well against a black wood bar and black leather lounges. So far, so good.

My night continues to prove me very wrong as I sip on a Sapphire Martini []. The clubs signature drink sees lavender flower-infused Bombay gin and green apple liqueur mingling with lychee syrup to create an enchanting drink. They’ve also got a small selection of beers for and the cocktails start at . I hear Saturday nights they have a happy hour before nine if you’re on the guest list though and it’s worth getting on there as cocktails are .

Most people suffer from some kind of a problem caused by bad posture while sitting, walking and, especially, sleeping. Although the standing, sitting and walking posture can be fixed with just some conscious effort on their part, the problem of bad posture while sleeping is one that is actually very difficult to deal with. A king size mattress that is made of memory foam can take on the shape of the sleeper the moment it registers heat or pressure on it. Subsequent to its release to the public, it has caught on greatly amongst the medical community for its varied benefits. In addition to this, the memory foam king size mattress has been growing in popularity all over the world mainly because of the multi faceted benefits that it will provide to the sleeper. The following are some details.

Reward Yourself with a Proper Pint from Greene King

Greene King wants to highlight the heroic jobs that men do and reward them for their efforts with a well-earned pint of Greene King IPA. On the back of the ‘proper pubs’ campaign Greene King want to emphasise that if you are in a proper pub then you should drink a ‘proper pint’ after a hard day’s work.

A hard day’s work for the modern man has changed somewhat, now Greene King believe that men should be rewarded for tasks that can sometimes be taken for granted. A popular activity is the capturing, disposal and sometimes execution of spiders in the household, despite the non-venomous nature of spiders in the United Kingdom this is a courageous act that should not be overlooked and a proper pint in a Greene King pub is the least you deserve.

Another activity that is never shirked that would warrant a proper pint is the manual dog ‘poop scoop’ with a plastic bag. Not many would be willing to risk life and limb in handling of this hazardous material and what better way to celebrate this then calming the nerves with a proper pint. Here is a list of other deeds that should be celebrated at a Greene King pub:
